Yes, I'd like two orders of....

A few weeks ago, Mom had a clinic she had to do on campus, and Papaw got to babysit us on Tuesday! Well, we wanted Wendy's for lunch, and I told Papaw when we got close to the drive-in order place, "I can order if you want, I know what all we want." So, when we pull up to the drive-in order place, I climb over Papaw (I'm sitting in the passenger seat), stick my head out the driver's window, and procede to order our lunch! I must have got it all right, because we got everything, but it was so funny imagining the workers surprise when they heard a girl's voice ordering, and then saw a man in the driver's seat! So, I guess I can say, "I'd like two orders of crazy, one order of campus clinics, and all the adventure you got!"

10 crazy things

Here are ten random, crazy things that have happened to me this year. (in no particular order)

1. Sticking my head out the driver's window to order at Wendy's (more on that later)

2. Getting my braces put on (yes, I now have them ^_^)

3. Getting lost at Newsong (at least I was with a friend!)

4. Scoring my first goal from midfield (yay me!!!)

5. It's Tough to be a Bug! 3-D film at Animal Kingdom (never want to see that again)

6. Finding out that my mother writes my horoscopes (^_^ love you, Mom)

7. Getting to sing with my church choir for our Christmas program (and having a solo!)

8. Reading 5 THICK library books in a weekend two times in a row

9. Donny Osmond beating Mya in Dancing With the Stars season 9

10. Mom letting me draw on my sneakers (pictures of that later)

My mother writes my horoscopes

Sometimes I like to read my horoscope just for fun, usually on special days (my birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.). Today mine said "Try a little of everything on the table to be polite, and you could be pleasantly surprised." That is EXACTLY the same thing Mom says to me every time we go to someone's house for Thanksgiving. (although her version is "try it, you'll like it") I think she's the one who writes these things.....

Platinum Challenge

My brother recently bought a Nintendo DS Lite and a Pokemon game for it. The version of the game was Platinum. (hence Platinum in Platinum Challenge)Feeling adventurous, I said that I would draw a gijinka for every Pokemon that he caught. (hence Challenge in Platinum Challenge) I now have a list of 16 that I haven't done!! However, I have made some progress. Here are some of my favorites:

Turtwig: the one who started the challenge!

Zubat: Christian Bale's best friend ^_^
Geodude: he's mad about something!
Luxray: one of the coolest electric-types around!
Torterra: I was just going to draw my character sitting on the upper half (the half with the spikes and small tree) when I thought, "Why not just draw her riding a Torterra? I've already drawn half the beast!)
Giratina: one of the biggest, scariest, and awesomest ledgendaries!

Ikebana...sort of

Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arranging. (yes, more Japanese art!) My church does something similar on Easter. There is a big wooden cross covered with Spanish moss, chicken wire, and leaves. Us youth group kids are given bobby pins, and when people bring in flowers, we pin them on the cross! And this year, people really did BRING IN THE FLOWERS!!! We just about ran out of room on the cross! (room and bobby pins) We had tulips, daffodils, and lots, LOTS more. One woman brought in at least a dozen white roses! When our pastor lifted the cross onto its base, a few flowers fell off!

(the arranging part in flower arranging happens on this cross when you have to find ways to artistically group the flowers!)

Manga craze

For those of you not familiar with manga, it is the art of Japanese cartooning. There are manga comics, TV shows, drawings, and more! I have been on a manga CRAZE these last few weeks-my binder is full of it! The branch of manga I am currently exploring is Gijinka. Gijinka is humanized forms of Pokemon, and is very interesting! I have drawn some gijinka, as well as found some on the computer, but Mom said I probably shouldn't put the computer ones on here because I do not own them. But I can scan and put up mine!
Here are some of my works

Eevee-my first gijinka!Electabuzz-my newestGallade trainer-to show you how gijinka worksProfessor Psyduck-expert in...who knows?Umbreon-awesome!Pretty cool, huh?
